Most of what I read falls in this category. For as long as I can remember, I would get lost in a story. The reason I read so very much is that need to escape my story, and get lost in another.

I am always open to recommendations for what story I should read next.

Parting the Veil: A Novel

This is Paulette Kennedy's inaugural novel as a writer! This book is such a wonderful read. There is some romance, intrigue and a splash of ghosts. I love reading stories in this era. It is such a romantic era.

An Unfinished Story

I cannot even imagine the tremendous pain from losing a spouse. As I read this story I was more intrigued. What was the surprise her husband had for her right before he died?! Will his book be completed?!

Big Chica's Don't Cry

This story follows the life of four cousins or rather primas. It was a great reminder that life gets messy and complicated, and staying connected to your family isn't always easy. Life is far too short. I had so many emotions while reading!

The Taste of Ginger

I was fascinated with the traditions and culture depicted in this story. Interestingly I found so many similarities between their culture and the Mexican culture.
